Half Share Deposit
A half share of beef costs $6.40/lb hanging weight. This price includes the cost of cut and wrap. An average hanging half weighs 270-425 lb. For a half share you will pay roughly $1,730-$2,720 for 160-275 lb of finished product in your freezer. This equates to $10.33/lb for all types of cuts from roasts to burger to flank steak to stew meat to prime rib. A half share usually takes up about 7-8 cubic feet of freezer space.
With a half share, you, the customer are able to customize your cut and wrap order. The butcher cuts your beef to your personal preferences!
To provide a general sense of what you will receive, the approximate cut mix of an half share includes: 100 lb that can be cut into steaks or roasts (think chuck, rib, loin, tri-tip, top sirloin, sirloin tip, and rump), 80 lb of ground, 12 lb of short ribs, 4 lb of stew meat, 4 lb of bones and offal.
We charge a delivery fee for orders beyond our local valley to cover travel costs — $20 for Twisp delivery, $50 for Seattle delivery.
